Our homes are a sacred space; they are where we create some of our fondest and most revered memories with the ones we love. Our homes are where we can take refuge from a chaotic world and are where we can be our most authentic selves.
Over time, our dwelling spaces become a tapestry of who we are, where we have been, and what we love. The styles and materials we use in creating our homes have evolved over the centuries, but one thing has remained the same: we have an inherent desire to bring the outside in and surround ourselves with the beauty and comfort of the natural world. Whether it be in decorating our shelves and windowsills with plants and flowers, or bringing animals into our homes as beloved extensions of our families- we invite nature indoors to keep us connected to our roots with the wild and magical outside world.
At the Sustainable Soirée, we believe in cultivating a natural home: through the products we use, the materials we decorate with, and through the traditions and practices we carry on and pass down to our families. We believe in making conscious and informed decisions in how we build, furnish and maintain our living spaces, so that future generations may continue to enjoy the bounties of the earth. We believe in making changes to our practices to better preserve the environment, and sustain the planet.
