DIY Peppermint Mouth Spray

Throughout the day, our mouths could use a little re-fresh in between brushings. While you could buy mouth spray or breath strips from the market, all of that single-use packaging and plastic can really add up in a way that’s damaging to the environment. There’s a simple solution to this problem that can be made with just two ingredients and a 50ml reusable glass spray bottle.

THE RECIPE

  • 2 tsp pure peppermint extract

  • distilled water, as needed

  • 50 ml food-grade reusable glass spray bottle

TO MAKE

  1. Funnel 2tsp of peppermint extract into a clean, reusable glass spray bottle. If you like your mouth spray to be extra strong, feel free to add another tsp of peppermint extract!

  2. Fill the rest of the bottle with distilled water, leaving a small space at the top. (You don’t want the mouth spray to spill over when you insert the spray nozzle!)

  3. Attach and secure the spray nozzle.

  4. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

  5. Shake well before each use and spray several pumps into the mouth as needed.
